what are some good cheap places to eat in chicago or the great lakes area?

i am going up to great lakes to visit my sailor and i really want to go out to some great local places to eat that arent to expensive!! sometimes the smaller places are the best places to eat :) please help

    Lou Mitchell’s is a Chicago legend. Great breakfasts or lunches. It is near Union Station.

    Another great place is Joy Yee Noodle. One is in Chinatown and another one is in Evanston.
